Program Descriptions

Scholarship request form

High Desert DEVO is a nonprofit, youth-serving organization that operates solely with grants, sponsorships, donations, and registration fees. Scholarships are intended for families that would not otherwise participate in our programming due to the full cost of registration. We run our scholarship program on an honor system basis, not asking families for any personal financial information. We hope to continue to do so. HD DEVO asks that families only apply for a scholarship if they would not be able to participate otherwise so we can maintain our scholarship funds throughout the year for families that truly need it. Thank you.

  • Registration fees assistance - 50% scholarship of registration cost. Scholarships are provided by United Way of SouthWest Colorado, Team Up Grant!

  • Equipment scholarship: Helmet, gloves, water bottles, backpack/hip pack, and Bike maintenance check.

  • Bike Loaner program

COME RIDE WITH US!

High Desert Devo offers coached, group mountain bike rides for youth in Montezuma County from April to October. High School riders have the option to attend races from August - October as part of the Colorado High School Cycling League.  We encourage riders of all skill levels to be a part of our team - our top priorities are fun, team building, rider safety, and improving on riding skills.

We have a qualified coaching staff to lead group rides - all coaches are High Desert Devo trained and have first aid and concussion training.  Many of our coaches volunteer their time at High Desert Devo.  Group rides typically meet at Phil's World, Boggy Draw, Dolores Overlook Trail, and other trails local to Dolores, Cortez and Mancos.
